October 9th Eclipse Workshop a Success!

We are pleased to report that our first eclipse planning workshop which was held on October 9, 2015 at the Saint Louis Science Center was a success!   The workshop entitled "Planning for the August 21, 2017 Total Solar Eclipse" was sold out weeks in advance. Over 60 attendees from state, city, county, nonprofit and business organizations attended the workshop.  As you will note below, we had a diverse audience of attendees and feedback was very positive.

What did workshop attendees say about the workshop?

Feedback from workshop attendees was positive.  In a feedback survey, attendees rated our workshop an average of 4.7 on a 5.0 scale where was "Excellent".  Here is a sampling of testimonials that we received from attendees:

The Solar Eclipse Workshop was exciting, motivating, and enlightening! It was more than I expected. The Networking opportunities were a big bonus. Thanks for including the roster of everyone in attendance as well as all of the speakers. I left the workshop thinking this is the best one day workshop I've ever attended.  Great planning!

Teresa Kohut, City of Arnold, Parks & Recreation Supervisor

I found the workshop interesting, informative and well organized. The material and information has encouraged our city to actively participate in this event. I would recommend others to attend a workshop in their area.

Bill Haggard, City of Herculaneum. Mayor and Retired Science Teacher

For someone who has never had this experience before your workshop gave me the insight, education and an almost lifelike experience of a solar eclipse! Now I have the information and direction to plan my county's awesome totality experience.
